What is the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)?

The NDIS provides support to Australians who have a permanent and significant disability by accessing reasonable and necessary supports. The NDIS supports participants to access services that will help achieve their individual NDIS goals. NDIS offers choice and control to participants on how supports are provided. Children from 0 – 7 years of age can access the NDIS under Early Intervention.

Who can access the NDIS?
  • Under the age of 65
  • Reside in Australia and have Australian residency
  • Have a permanent and significant disability that effects your daily living
